Australian freight intelligence

Your team spends an hour on a 30-second job.

Paste any freight quote from any carrier — road, air, sea, domestic, international. Finalised reads every fee, catches the costs buried in footnotes, and tells you who is cheapest in 30 seconds.

The problem

Every carrier writes fees differently.
Your team pays the price.

Toll calls their fuel charge a fuel levy. StarTrack calls it a FAF. FedEx calls it an energy surcharge. Same fee — three different names. Your coordinator has to know this, match them across five documents, convert every percentage into a dollar amount by hand, and read every footnote for anything that wasn’t in the headline price.

No spreadsheet or TMS solves this, because the problem happens before the data ever enters a system. The quotes arrive as unstructured text, and someone has to read them. Finalised is that someone.

ALIASES

Same fee, five names

Fuel levy, FAF, FSC, energy surcharge, fuel adjustment factor. Your coordinator has to carry the dictionary in their head — across every carrier, every day.

FOOTNOTES

The $4.50 that wasn’t there

A mandatory carbon levy buried in footnote three of a FedEx quote. Missed once, it’s margin gone. Missed monthly, it’s a pattern.

VALIDITY

Rates that quietly expire

A 14-day validity window on a StarTrack rate that lapsed before the booking was confirmed. The “cheapest” quote was no longer real.

COST

$17,325 a month, gone

60–90 minutes per shipment, 15 shipments a day, at $35/hr coordinator time. That’s before you count the cost of the errors they still make.

Fee normalisation

The same fee — mapped automatically.

Every alias a carrier invents gets mapped back to one standard name, one row, one comparable number.

How it works

Paste. Normalise. Decide.

I

Paste anything

Drop in raw quotes exactly as they arrive — PDFs, email threads, portal exports. Any carrier, any format, any freight type. Nothing changes for your carriers.

II

AI reads every line

Every fee extracted, every alias mapped to a standard name, every percentage converted to dollars — and every footnote read, so nothing buried stays buried.

A winner is named

One comparison table. A named winner with the exact savings, risk flags on anything that needs a human eye, and CSV export. Your coordinator reads the result — not the raw quotes.

What it handles

Built in Australia.
Reads any quote.

Finalised is an AI that reads text — it doesn’t care about freight type or route. Road, air, sea, international, dangerous goods, temperature-controlled: if a carrier sends a text-based quote, Finalised compares it. GST-true, in AUD, the way Australian brokers actually work.

FAQ

Questions you probably have.

Does it only work for road freight within Australia?+
No — that is a common misconception. Finalised is an AI that reads text. It does not care about freight type or route. Road, air, sea, international, dangerous goods, temperature-controlled — if a carrier sends you a text-based quote, Finalised compares it.
What are pallets and why do they appear in quotes?+
A pallet is the flat wooden platform freight gets stacked on before going into a truck. CHEP pallets are the Australian standard — managed by the CHEP company, who charge a fee each time one moves. This is why “CHEP”, “pallet exchange”, and “pallet management fee” appear as separate line items with different names across carriers. Finalised maps them all to one row.
Do my carriers need to do anything?+
No. Nothing changes for your carriers. Toll keeps sending PDFs. StarTrack keeps sending emails. You paste whatever arrives. No carrier onboarding required.
How accurate is the extraction?+
When the carrier quote is clear, extraction is near-perfect. When something is ambiguous, Finalised flags it so you know to check manually. It never silently guesses.
We use a TMS. Does this replace it?+
No — it works alongside it. Your TMS manages bookings and invoicing. Finalised handles normalising inbound quotes from carriers who send them in their own formats outside the system.
Can I cancel at any time?+
Yes. Monthly plans cancel any time before the next billing date. No contracts, no cancellation fees.
